General Remodeling FAQs
How long does a typical remodel take?
It depends on the size and scope of your project. A roof may take 1–2 days, while a full kitchen remodel may take 2–4 weeks. We’ll always give you a clear timeline — and we stick to it.
Do I need to move out during the renovation?
Not usually. For most interior or exterior projects, you can stay in your home. If something requires temporary relocation, we’ll discuss it in advance.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We are a fully licensed and insured Class A contractor in the state of Virginia. We’re covered — and so are you.
Do you pull the permits, or do I have to?
We handle all necessary permits, inspections, and local compliance for you. Sit back — we’ve got it covered.
Do you offer free consultations or estimates?
Yes! Every project starts with a free, no-pressure estimate. We’ll evaluate your goals and give you real numbers.
Financing & Payment
Do you offer financing?
Absolutely. We offer $0-down financing options with flexible terms for nearly all credit types. We believe quality work should be affordable.
How does payment work?
We typically take a deposit, then structure progress payments based on key project milestones. Everything is agreed upon upfront — no surprises.
Is your pricing fixed, or can it change mid-project?
Our estimates are detailed and accurate. Unless you request additional changes, your price won’t shift. No fluff. No hidden fees.
Insurance & Storm Restoration
Can you help with insurance claims?
Yes — we have insurance specialists on staff. We’ll meet with your adjuster, handle documentation, and make sure your claim is maximized.
I just had storm damage. How soon can you come out?
We prioritize storm damage repairs and can often be onsite within 24–48 hours. Emergency tarping available if needed.

How long does a roof replacement take?
Most roof jobs are completed in one day. We don’t drag it out — we show up, finish fast, and clean up like pros.
What kind of roofing materials do you use?

Can I choose my own fixtures and finishes?
100%. We’ll guide you with suggestions, but the final say is yours. You can use our vendors or supply your own materials.
Do you offer 3D renderings or design previews?
Yes — for kitchens, bathrooms, and major remodels, we offer design mockups so you can visualize the space before we begin.
What’s the typical budget for an interior remodel?
Projects usually range from $15,000 to $50,000+ depending on size and scope. We’ll tailor a solution that fits your vision and budget.
Solar & Energy Efficiency
Is solar really $0 down?
Yes — we work with trusted finance partners to offer true $0-down solar packages. We’ll walk you through the math, options, and returns.
Do I need a new roof before installing solar?
Not always. If your roof has less than 10 years of life left, we’ll recommend replacing it first. We can bundle both into one project.
Project Management & Process
Who will I be communicating with during the project?
You’ll have a dedicated project manager who gives you updates, answers your questions, and keeps everything on track.
Do you subcontract work?
Some specialized trades (like electrical or plumbing) may involve trusted partners, but every project is led, managed, and inspected by SRG.
What happens if there’s a problem after the project?
